Week on and it quite often will not find devices, just says none available, clearly they are and I’m on the same network. Have to change router next week and rip it all apart so will see if goes back ok. It has a monitoring and configuration utility, but the device is a power hog and that will show up on your power bill. Changed names through mobile app, and expended this to be same for iPad app, but clearly not broadcast to other devices. The TP-Link's extended range can help turn a big house into a data-filled home. Can quite remember which are on the new circuit. Variable data rate depending, according to graphic, on where the extenders are positioned, but that might be due to separate electrical circuits. WiFi Does now extend into the garden which it did not previously, so some success Now after a couple of weeks I find myself having to switch the system on and off once a day otherwise it just grinds to a halt ! The data rate graphic usually shows second adapter around 11Mbps The program is language independent and can be used with any language system. If it has been installed, updating (overwrite-installing) may fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions. So I find myself switching all off and on every morning. This package contains the files for installing the TP-Link TL-WPA4220KITv1 Powerline Utility.

I have the SSID cloned, so same name throughout the house. So now after about two weeks, these devices appear to become saturated after a few days and internet grinds to a halt. To use this app, you need to be connected to the Wi-Fi network of a powerline extender below (listed hardware versions and above): Manage the whole powerline network such as adding a new powerline device, setting a new powerline network name, and turning on or off the LEDs on all the powerline devices in the network. For a powerline extender, you can also change and schedule its Wi-Fi settings, and redirect to the web management interface. Manage a powerline device such as changing its device name, turning on or off its LEDs, viewing its data rate, resetting to factory defaults, and removing it from the current network.ĝisplay information of all compatible powerline devices in the current network. It will list all the compatible powerline adapters and powerline extenders in your current network, and allow you to manage your powerline devices individually as well as the whole powerline network with a few taps. I have a variety of TP-Link adapters and they all work fine, as do the devices attached to them either by cable or wi-fi, its just the utility that doesnt. Simply connect your smart device to the Wi-Fi network of a compatible TP-Link powerline extender and start managing with ease. So, I would suggest that before you go through the bother of re-setting/re-pairing adapter and extender, check what electrical appliances you have running at the time and see whether turning them off fixes the apparent homeplug problem.TP-Link tpPLC app lets you conveniently view and manage your TP-Link powerline devices via your smart device. So I waited until the tumble-drier was finished, then restarted my router and the home plugs and, hey-presto, right as rain! It then occurred to me that the tumble-drier was on, plugged in downstairs.

exe utility is for configuring individual adapters. The tpPLC.exe utility shows a nice powerlink map whereas the powerline scan. It then occurred to me that, since I hadn't had the house re-wired overnight, there was no obvious reason for it not to work downstairs, so I tried to think what else might be the cause. I use TP-link adaptrrs and there are two utilities available. It worked fine, but it's no use to me up there.

The System button lets you upgrade firmware, restore factory defaults to the local unit or multiple adapters, and globally apply. I tried the extender (not connected to anything) in upstairs sockets, instead of its usual downstairs socket. Figure 30 - TP-Link powerline configuration utility, Advanced view. Having searched the internet for suggestions, I re-paired the adapter and extender it didn't make the slightest difference.

Then today I got exactly the problem described above: powerline LED out on the adapter, powerline LED on the extender flashing intermittently: most important, nothing coming through to smart TV or anything else. As I've said, until today, no significant problems. The adapter is plugged into a socket in an upstairs bedroom the extender is plugged in downstairs, with an ethernet cable into a smart TV we also use the WI-FI downstairs for Ipad, etc. I have been using a TP-Link adapter and wireless extender for a couple of months and, until today, never had a significant problem. I thought I would share my experience today as it might save some people some time and anxiety.
